With the principal focus on the development of public transportation and urban mobility in Debrecen, there were as many as 37 teams competing for a spot in the finals on Wednesday and Thursday, May 20 and 21, participating in a two-day idea competition hosted jointly by Debrecen’s public transport company, DKV Debreceni Közlekedési Zrt., and the Innovation Ecosystem Center of the University of Debrecen.

The 2026 Neuroinnovation Summit and the 11th NeurotechEU General Assembly was held as a two-day meeting in the Swedish capital city. The University of Debrecen was represented by a five-member delegation at this event hosted by Karolinska Institutet. These were among the topics analyzed by participants at the international conference titled “Education in the Family – Family in Education” held at the Faculty of Child Development and Special Education at the University of Debrecen. The faculty organized this Thursday’s professional forum for the sixth time in collaboration with the John Paul II University in Krakow and the University of Zadar.
The physical and mental health and well-being of its staff and students are important to the University of Debrecen. To that end, the institution is introducing massage chairs as a new service at its campuses on Egyetem Square, Böszörményi Road, and Kassai Road, as well as in the Faculty of Engineering building in Ótemető Street. Specialists have installed nine of these relaxation devices on Wednesday.
